As RIOT community, we host the following services covered by this privacy notice:

• https://forum.riot-os.org, our forum.
• https://pad.riot-os.org, a service to create real-time collaborative markdown notes.
• https://tickets.riot-os.org / https://pretix.riot-os.org, a service for registration of the RIOT summit.
• https://ci.riot-os.org, our continuous integration (CI) service to build and test the RIOT source code in our Git repository for various boards.

Account Information

The following data is collected when provided to us:

• Personal information:
  • The forum collects
    • Your username, email address and optionally your full name.
    • The content of your posts, data about bookmarks, likes and links you follow in order to share that data with others, through the forum.
    • The content of private messages that you send through the forum. We make private messages available to senders and their recipients, and also to forum administrators.
  • The collaborative markdown note service collects
    • Your username, e-mail address, and user profiles for GitHub that you may connect with via your login.
    • Your profile picture loaded from GitHub via your login.
    • Pictures that you upload within documents to the local filesystem of the HedgeDoc server.
    • Relationships between your documents and your user account. This includes ownership, authorship, and revisions of all changes made during the creation of a note.
  • The RIOT summit registration collects
    • Your email address to send you the registration tickets.
    • The email address, full name, and company you provide for each attendee you register.
    • Whether these attendees attend the event on site or remotely.
    • Other information related to the event organization, including but not limited to: optionally provided dietary restrictions, T-shirt size, and attendance of sub-events.
    • The nationality you provide for the attendees you register.
  • The CI service collects no personal information on our side and stores any login information locally in your web browser as a cookie (see section on cookies below).

Furthermore the following information will be processed automatically by the forum and the notes service:

• Device user agent
• IP address

This data is stored for as long as your account remains open.

The data collected on the forum is required for providing the service. It will only be used for this purpose. This includes managing your account, compile statistics on the forum and topic popularity. Furthermore, the collected information is used to defend the forum from abuse and technical attacks and diagnose and debug technical errors.
